Types of Darshan Available in 2026
1. Special Entry Darshan (SED) — Rs. 300
The most popular paid darshan option. Provides a dedicated time slot with 2–4 hours typical wait, compared to 10–25 hours for free Sarvadarshan. Quota is released monthly in advance — tickets sell out within minutes of release.
| Detail | Info |
|---|---|
| Ticket Price | Rs. 300 per person (includes 1 small laddu prasadam) |
| Booking Window | Typically ~90 days in advance |
| Max per booking | 6 persons per transaction |
| Slot strictness | Must arrive within allotted time slot (from March 16, 2026) |
| Cancellation | Non-refundable and non-transferable |
2. SRIVANI Trust Darshan — Rs. 10,000 Donation
For devotees who donate a minimum of Rs. 10,000 to SRIVANI Trust. Provides faster darshan with dedicated entry. Since January 9, 2026, the full 1,300 daily quota (800 current-day + 500 advance) is available online only.
| Quota Type | Tickets | Booking Window |
|---|---|---|
| Current Day (online) | 800 tickets/day | Daily 9:00 AM–2:00 PM (report by 4:00 PM) |
| Advance (3 months) | 500 tickets | Released monthly with quota schedule |
3. Slotted Sarva Darshan (SSD) — Free
Free darshan with token-based slot system. Tokens distributed daily at Tirumala. 10,000–15,000 tokens available per day. With the slot system, devotees must arrive within their assigned time window — early arrival is not permitted.
- Token distribution starts from 5:00 AM at Tirumala counters (sometimes midnight during heavy rush)
- No advance booking — tokens are same-day only
- Average wait: 4–8 hours on weekdays, 8–15 hours on weekends, 15–25 hours during festivals
4. Arjitha Seva (Includes Darshan)
Booking a seva automatically grants darshan after the seva is completed. Seva bookings open 3–4 months in advance via electronic DIP (Darshan Slot lottery).
2026 New Rules — Important Changes
- Strict time slot enforcement: Devotees with SED Rs. 300 tickets and SSD tokens must arrive within their assigned time window. Arriving too early or too late will result in denied entry.
- 30-day booking restriction: The same Aadhaar/ID cannot be used to book darshan twice within a 30-day period. To book again within 30 days, use a different government ID (Passport, Voter ID, Driving License).
- ID matching: The exact same original ID used during booking must be presented at the temple entry gate. Any mismatch results in denial of darshan.
- No offline counters: All bookings must be completed online. There are no physical ticket counters at Tirupati or Tirumala for SED or SRIVANI tickets.
- Children under 12: No separate ticket required. Children enter with their accompanying adults. Carry age-proof documents.
